I don’t know about all of you, but it seems like everyone has lost their minds lately!  Scripture speaks of the end of times where folks will call good bad and bad good.  My education is limited, my knowledge is not up to a Harvard or Yale student’s but I am old enough to have observed and learned plenty and it seems to me that we are living in such a time.  The enemy of our souls (Satan) is pulling out all the stops, animating willing individuals to behave in unconscionable ways, unreasonable, unwise, and irresponsibly hateful ways, just as was foretold in the Word. Fear is running rampant, hate is hyped up beyond all reason, violence is at an all time high it would seem — if you listen to our media.  The philosophy of the day seems to be divide in order to conquer?  Many are willing to rebel for rebellion’s sake.  Resist, resist, resist.  And, what does that get us?  There is no peace, there is no joy, no love, only rebellion.  And just as an fyi…rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as idolatry. (1 Samuel 15:23)  King Saul lost his crown and kingdom because of this.  What are the Resisters going to get I wonder?

However, let me encourage those of you who are weary of all the nonsense.  There is Hope.  When the enemy comes in seemingly like a flood, the Lord raises up a standard against him.  We can have confidence that our God who created this world has it well in hand, in spite of what the news and naysayers tell us.  He holds us in the palm of His hand, He covers us with His feathers when the arrows fly and pestilence tries to take a foothold in bodies and souls.  When fear raises its’ ugly head, God says “Fear not for I am with thee!”  Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the World!  Remember, our fight isn’t and shouldn’t be against people.. our fight is against the principalities and rulers of darkness..God’s enemies. We fight in our prayer closets, clothed in our armor (Ephesians 6:10-18), doing battle against the evil one and wresting souls from his hands!

Now, more than ever before, it is time for the Body of Christ to come together, loving God and one another more than anything, love the sinner despite their sin and pray that God will push the enemy’s evil plans and devices back on himself.  Walk in forgiveness, live Ephesians 4 and 5, James 3, 1 Corinthians 13, and pray for opportunities to share with those willing to serve the enemy that they serve the wrong master and there is hope to escape his doom.

We are at war, spiritually, for the hearts of men and women, boys and girls,  and THAT has never been more evident than in the last few years.  We must not be afraid to speak the Truth clearly and with boldness, exposing Satan’s lies, and lift up the Name of Jesus with courage and conviction.  Give honor to whom honor is due. Give Him Praise, Give Him the Glory due His Name.  Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the Battle belongs to Him.  We will be and are Victorious in Him!  And remember, whether one believes in Jesus or not, in the end everyone — great or small, young or old, rich or poor, of every color, race, creed or nationality — will bow their knee and with their tongues will proclaim Jesus the Lord of All.
